Yesterday, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the Global Diabetes Compact. It helps countries implement programmes to prevent and manage this disease, so that fewer people get sick, and those afflicted can receive quality care and affordable treatment.
Singapore is committed to this mission. It has been 5 years since we declared a “War on Diabetes”, and this battle goes on. We can win this battle through healthy lifestyles, early detection, and good disease management. The fight continues even amid the pandemic – diabetes complicates the treatment of many diseases, including COVID-19.
It is 100 years since scientists at the University of Toronto discovered insulin. This makes 2021 a particularly meaningful year to launch the Global Diabetes Compact, which Singapore strongly supports. Let’s continue to work together to tackle this disease. – LHL

BAD POSTURE
When our spine is positioned in an unnatural alignment, the curves are exaggerated, which can be due to tight or weak muscles, resulting in bad posture. Uncorrected posture, overtime can lead to chronic pains.
GOOD POSTURE
A good posture is when you hold your body upright where the least strain is placed on supporting muscles and ligaments during movement.
It is extremely important to have a good posture! When you have proper posture, it improves bodily alignment, eliminates back and neck pain, improves circulation, improves digestion, improves breathing, makes you look taller, and also makes you look and feel confident.

Love seafood AND pasta at the same time? We have just the thing for you today!
First we heat the pan up, then start off by cooking the sauce. After we saute the onions and garlic we then add oregano, cumin powder and chili flakes, finally adding canned diced tomatoes and San Remo’s Sundried Tomato & Garlic Concentrate.
We choose to add tiger prawns, scallops, squid rings, and mussels. Cover and let the seafood simmer slowly before tossing the cooked spaghetti into flavorful sauces. Last but not least, we garnish with cilantro and mint and you have yourself a perfect meal for 2.
